Mancy Ho, Investment Associate and Senior Project Manager at Cocoon, an entrepreneurship network and incubator company, as an invited judge at the DIGC202 – Digital Networks.
Students, working in groups over several weeks, designed a digital media project which offers a social utility for a public user base. Groups presented their Beta project pitches and Mancy provided some great feedback and advice to groups. Students learned about real pitches competing for Angel investors attention and financial support. Mancy was so impressed with some of the student work she observed and offered freelance projects to some students.
Mancy also invited the BCMS students to a Cocoon pitch night event, held on 17 Jan. 2019. Students who attended the event got a chance to watch fledgling companies pitch their start up ideas for seed money and investment capital of millions of dollars, and they met various professionals and entrepreneurs at the event.
